The role of the church is vital in supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in many communities. We believe that caring for these children is an essential responsibility. By addressing their needs, the church can build trust and relationships, positively impacting their lives and the broader community.
Our programs add value by meeting the needs of the vulnerable and fostering strong relationships within the community. This engagement not only supports the children but also enriches the lives of those who serve.
James 1:27 (ESV): “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction…” This verse calls believers to care for orphans and widows, emphasizing the church’s role in addressing this need. Our work is grounded in this teaching, focusing on supporting vulnerable children and making a meaningful difference in their lives. We believe that fulfilling this mandate not only honors God but also brings profound blessings to both those who serve and those who are served.
Ethiopia has 5 million orphaned and vulnerable children. These statistics are more than just numbers—they represent real children in need of love, care, and support. The church has a unique opportunity and responsibility to step into this gap and provide much-needed assistance.
By activating churches globally, we aim to equip congregations with the training, tools, and support necessary to make a tangible difference. Our programs focus on empowering local communities to address the orphan crisis from within, fostering sustainable and culturally relevant solutions. Through this approach, we strive to create lasting change that benefits not only the children but also the communities as a whole.
